Should Internet Directories be Revived

In the starting era of the Internet, there were things called Internet Directories. The Internet grew larger and larger with more and more domains to a huge number and the directories failed to grow with.

Internet Directories should be revived, instead of using search engine only. Other factors can help, such as crowd-tagging, AI-assisted data organising; and even users can have personalised Internet Directories.

Searching is boring as it gives only a list of stuff without any organised structures or categories.
