Flowers bloom, seasons pass. The world’s changes.
Sunlight crumbles, night visits. Shifting days.
Their contiguous presence keeps things brief,
Entropy quickening to a brisk stride.

Morning air warms at a peregrine’s pace.
Evening skies glimmer swiftly with stars.
While they share space, time leaves them far behind.
And apart they rush past it, speed fivefold.

Never are they truly on the mark, instead
Time remains always in flux around them.
All they can do is comment and observe it,
While they enjoy what bounties time leaves them.
