Desktop browsing and internet search:

  2. Ensure that "Tracking Protection" in your browser is set to "Always" in the browser settings

  3. Ensure that "DoNotTrack" in your browser is set to "Always" in the browser settings

  4. Start using the privacy focused search-engine "DuckDuckGo" as your default internet search. It is as good as the others out there but do not log/track you: www.duckduckgo.com

  5. Adjust the browser search-settings to ensure that the default search-engine in your browser is DuckDuckGo https://www.duckduckgo.com/

  6. Install and activate these privacy-focused firefox add-ons:

Cookie Autodelete, autodeletes the cookies that gets installed on your computer. Make sure to whitelist the pages that you want to keep cookies from: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cookie-autodelete/
HTTP Everywhere, forces the pages you visit to establish an encrypted connection with your browser: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/https-everywhere/
Ghostery, blocks most of the trackers that track you as your browse: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/
Decentraleyes, blocks many of the trackers that track you as your browse (good compliment to the other blockers): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/decentraleyes/
Disconnect, blocks many of the trackers that track you as your browse (good compliment to the other blockers): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disconnect/
