I have read so much about emotional affairs. I was on the path to an emotional affair.
Things I did that I think would be considered an emotional affair:
-Preoccupied and daydream about your friend
-"We're just friends."
-Tried to find reasons to give your friend personal gifts.
-Spent a lot of time messaging each other.
-We talked about very personal information.
-Some conversations were deleted because they were sensitive.
-I am attracted to her.
Things that make it not an emotional affair:
-Told my wife about the friendship.
-We set boundaries to not talk about sex with each other. We would not talk negatively about our spouses.
I like this quote from an article I read "If you think are having an emotional affair, it may be time to seriously evaluate the state of your marriage."
