Putin is putting his nuclear forces on special alert. From televised comments by Putin:

Senior officials of the leading Nato countries also allow aggressive statements against our country, therefore I order the minister of Defense and the chief of the general staff [of the Russian armed forces] to transfer the deterrence forces of the Russian army to a special mode of combat duty.

Western countries aren’t only taking unfriendly actions against our country in the economic sphere, but top officials from leading Nato members made aggressive statements regarding our country.

In other words 'those nasty people are saying nasty things about me, they'd all better stop because look at the gigantic size of my ... weapons'.

If this wasn't quite so terrifying it would be hysterically funny: look at the pathetic little man-child waving his weapons about because people are being rude to him.

As it is Putin, along with the other failures with their idiot grievances, is increasingly likely to kill us all. Which is not funny at all.
