Hanoi view points

• Ho Chi Minh didn't accept a part of the country being puppet, and also it was the time to fight colonialists
• Ho Chi Minh waged the war

US view points

• Needed to keep the colony
• Needed to fight off communism spreading which is not practical, no liberty and slows down economy

Who's right

• Hanoi was right, Saigon can't be puppet, slave; colonial era was to end as people weren't treated equal.
• US keeping the colony was wrong, not their land. Fighting communism was right but not actually the top reason, was just US using as a cause to fight back.
