MaXXXine is a dogshit script wrapped up in a trench coat of poorly executed scenes and edited sequences from various film genres. It's as if Ti West pulled genres out of a hat to emulate, and there is a titanic gulf between what he accomplished and what would be considered an acceptable homage.
