What caught your attention this year? What are you interested in at the moment? This can be a story, an event, a hobby, skill, relationship...anything.

This year something that I've started and have been interested in doing is journaling. Personally, I think that journaling is a great way to write down thoughts, feelings, and goals. Journaling helps me reflect on the past decisions I’ve made and therefore find ways to improve on myself and my mental health. I also think that it’s important to do this at it is a way to reconnect with yourself.

I myself have struggled with acknowledging my own emotions in the past, and instead have swept them under the rug. This has caused me to ignore certain emotions that I should have instead done something about.

Journaling is not only about dealing with the negative emotions and perspective of things but also the positive things. When I write down all the things I’ve achieved and see the process it makes me happy within myself. Taking that little alone time out of my day to write has brings me a feeling of peace and security.
