Privacy

One of the most common things we hear is: “I’m not doing anything wrong, so why should I care about privacy?”
Here’s why:
Privacy isn’t about hiding; it’s about protecting your freedom. Think of privacy not as a cloak, but as the space you need to be yourself. It's the freedom to have a messy, imperfect, private life without fear of judgment or consequences. It’s the freedom to explore ideas, to question, and even to make mistakes, knowing that those moments are yours alone.
Data harvesters are not your friends. The data collected about you, from your location history and web searches to your shopping habits and social connections, is used to build a detailed psychological profile. This profile can then be used to manipulate you. It’s why you see certain ads, why you get approved or denied for a loan, why you’re offered a higher price for a hotel room, and even why you’re shown specific news articles designed to reinforce your biases. When we cede information, we need to opt in with full awareness. The current system incentivizes opaque algorithms and decisions made in secret. This needs to change.
