Binary thinking

It amazes me how many binary thinkers there are out there. Here are some examples...

I say Ukraine is run by criminals and they're not the "good guys" in this war. If I say something like that, I am immediately called a "Putin lover." That's binary thinking, and it's wrong thinking.

I say Israel has gone too far with the bombing of Gaza. Then I am accused of supporting Hamas and terrorism. That's binary thinking, and it's wrong thinking.

I say Trump has made a terrible mistake by supporting IVF. Then I am immediately accused of supporting Kamala Harris. That's binary thinking, and it is wrong thinking.

I say both Zionism and Judaism are antichrist according to the Biblical definition. Then I am immediately accused of being an Antisemite. That's binary thinking, and it's wrong thinking.

Most of the issues in the world are not binary. One can object to one thing without necessarily endorsing another. One can hold to an opinion that is more nuanced, and doesn't fit the binary model. We don't live in a black and white (binary) world. Sometimes choices can be binary, but most of the time they are not. Stop thinking in binary when it comes to politics. It's immature and intellectually lazy.
