Original question:

Why don't gun owners consider restricting AR-15 a compromise when they can keep all other guns? Sounds like exactly a compromise.

My answer:

So, we lose again is a compromise? Must be a recent student of public schools.

The Constitution forbids the feds from getting between citizens and their arms.

At the moment, there are about 20,000 laws against guns, each and every one unconstitutional and a ‘compromise’ by the right.

What has the left ever compromised? They never do. They stamp their feet and hold their breath and we give in, or they riot and burn cities down.

They say we want all the guns, we say pound sand. They say just give up the most popular guns and we'll call it even.

That's not a compromise. They still get what they want, and law abiding citizens get boned. And guess what? Once they've taken the most popular, they'll want the new most popular, right down to single shot, spring action BB guns.

A compromise means both sides give something up. We've given shit up 20,000+ times. They never have.

Done. Now we're taking it back
