it's technically a new day, so I'm starting a new note. My little one has the flu. His fever keeps going up to 103 and he seems so miserable. I just want to hold him and make him feel better, but I know doing that will just make him hotter. He is sleeping in my bed with my wife so she can keep an eye on him.

I think if this continues into the evening we might think about waiting to tell him its Christmas until after hes feeling better. He has been so excited for it all month. It breaks my heart to think he is going to miss it by having the flu. I really hope we get lucky and his fever breaks tomorrow, but the doctor said it could be 4 or 5 days.

We are doing better. Maybe Christmas can continue, we will see how the day goes. My youngest got up "dad I feel better!"

of course he is not really better, but his fever is staying down with the medication so that's good.

Im very tired, I stayed up way to late last night and still woke up at 5am like I always do. I am debating if I want to go get donuts for us or not. They do sound good.

The flu shits...

Sorry I left it on the flu shits. I think everyone is going to be ok and we will be able to salvage Christmas morning.

We're just hanging out watching Bluey. I think the last time I saw this episode I was stoned. Bluey is playing in the rain trying to block the water from going down the sidewalk while some folk music plays. I remember being mesmerized by it for some reason, so I must have been high.

Our little guy passed out on the couch watching the santa tracker on the tv.

We read our new Bluey Christmas book and baked some cookies for Santa before sitting down to watch the tracker. He was out before I even realized.

Hopefully he sleeps in tomorrow morning he really needs the rest. He's so excited for Christmas. It really sucks that he has the flu, I was really excited about Christmas for him this year too. He's finally at that age where he gets really into it. His fever stayed down all day today so hopefully tomorrow is good for him too.

Now I have to help wrap presents and get the room set up like Santa was here.

I'm so tired I almost passed out too. I'm not sure what I have that's causing it. I drank an energy drink, hopefully that kicks in soon.

This is probably my last update for the evening.
