Making Todd Blanch the Attorney General has to make for one of the darkest days since Pearl Harbor, probably one of the 5 or so darkest days since the turn of the century, and one of the 25 or so darkest days since 1776. It is an assault on the Enlightenment. No one is surprised that the USA is in decline, that calling Blanche making America great and putting America First are just sad gallows-humor jokes, but the rapidity with which Felon47 is perpetrating all of this is the stunner. As all too often is the case when Felon47 claims one thing, the reality is just the opposite. He is well on the way to make America Last. The fragility of American democracy is brought into high relief by the Roberts "supreme court", all too complicit in said decline. The MAGAs who fly the Don't Tread On Me flag collectively insult those who fought the revolutionary war; all the while promoting their self-appointment as modern day patriots, the demographic of which they are anything but. Moreover, the MAGA types who leapt on the bandwagon to condemn Hillary Clinton for trafficking through a pizza shop may never bring themselves to understand that the pedophile cabal they claimed to hate is actually anchored not only in the felon-tainted Oval Office but also, now, in the so-called Department of Justice. We are all glad and relieved that James Comey is not the victim of a weaponized DOJ, but I would cry alligator tears if he awakens in the middle of the night in horror at what he did to the Hillary Clinton campaign, and, by extension, the entire nation. May he be haunted by this and reminded of it in the media forever.
