Analysis:

I feel in this section, you can almost hear the tension present in the space. This since Alain is clearly mocking Michel by going into a conversation about a specific section Michel's job, the sale of toilet fittings. This is effective since the social standing of people working with toilet fittings, or anything sanitary for that matter, is much lower than any lawyer.
