Man I’m feeling tired today.
Yesterday I’d walked upstream in my local stream cleaning up garbage, golfballs, beer cans and other rubbish.
Arriving empty handed other that a small mesh swimmers rubbish bag on a carabiner, I ended up with a 35 gallon black trash bag 1/4 the way filled with trash I’d found either around the stream or while I was in it.
It was also like an adventure I’d go on as a child as I had to walk under the bridge of three roads to reach the trash.
The overpasses were caves, the stumps were like mystical creatures reaching out from the sides of the stream, and every so often there would be a sea creature (salmon) guiding me along my journey.
After which I went on a strenuous weighted walk with my dumbbells.
It’s been a long tiring day as my family has been not well and I’ve been watching my boys and providing space for my wife to rest and recover.
I’m finally getting out to my walk for the day and will also be walking up to Ashley’s parents for New Years celebrating and togetherness a bit later.
I love nature and hope that others will take care of it as I do.
