Not A New Years Resolution

Friday, Jan 9, 2026

Here is my first post that I plan on uploading to Listed. I have thought long about starting to post here and its quite funny how the most difficult part is starting; take the jump and hope you don't stumble. More accuratley, realize that when you do take a jump you can't really stumble because the "stumbling" itslef is intentional.

It is a coincident however that I have decided to take this jump around the beginning of 2026. Everyone has their New Years resolutions. I wouldn't say this is a New Years resolution per se. I'm not setting any goals, especially measurable goals which I think makes for a good resolution.

What this actually is though is a jump, a leap of confidence in myself to be able to write.

I want to write as I see it as something I enjoy.I can feel the flow of thought moving through the words as I type them on my device. It feels natural and settling. As though I have returned to a familar friend. I wouldn't say I am the best writer, which is why I am writing for myself rather than an audience or more importunely to impress anyone. I just hope others can take what I am reading and get something out of it-- good or bad.

With that said, here are some topics I have an interest in writing about:

  1. Avoid all Ads!
  2. Jonathan Edwards' 70 resolutions
  3. What makes the tribe of Judah so special-- tracking the progression of the tribe of Judah up to the birth of the Messiah
  4. A reflection on gifts recieved-- wants desires, denying of the self
  5. Do I want to discuss world events? Everybody has an opinion...

As you can probably tell, many of my topics will be through the lens of a Biblical worldview. But also probing the concept of freedom within a digital world. I also like technology; how it changes people, enviroments, influences our upbringing and makes us choose a created digital escape or the creator's natural landscape. Maybe as the year goes on I will find time to do some book reviews on some old puritans and inspiring reformers. Can you tell I'm reading the Works of Jonathan Edwards?

Also, as I wrap this up, how do I avoid this being scraped by all of our AI friends? I'm partly here to avoid the AI slop plaguing the rest of the internet. Shoo bots shoo!
