Welcome!

Introducing the Market of Hope

I am glad you have found your way to the landing page of the Market of Hope!

The Market of Hope (MoH) is a communal sale of goods to the public that empowers our network of friends with a place to buy, sell, and exchange items. The goal is to collectively divest from companies that do not have our well being at heart and instead invest in each other. The MoH additionally will be open to the public for further economic engagement. In essence, the MoH is a yard sale with items from many people (possibly you!) as well as a nice hangout opportunity.

What will the Market of Hope look like?

The Market of Hope will take place in the front yard of the Belly Bungalow. Participating sellers will place their goods on folding tables, tarps, and tapestries, and individually make sales of their items. There will be music, beverages, and light snacks as well (potluck style). People will crowdsource materials for a productive and comfortable day, bringing camp chairs, food and drinks, their items, totes, and whatever else they or their friends might need. Then, we let the magic happen!

What are the plans so far?

The first Market of Hope will take place on the last Sunday of July. This allows adequate time to work out the kinks and spread the news. Currently, generating involvement and interest and spreading the word are the most important things. Collecting materials, and gather input on logistics and challenges from people that are interested.
