Frances Haugen has left her job at facebook and has decided to take Facebook to court as she has collected lots of data proving that Facebook chooses profit over the public good. She states that Facebook chooses to increase the amount of Negative and misinformed feed on Facebook and Instagram. This is due to making you angry keeps you using Facebook longer allowing more money to be made. Facebook has stated that it has a algorithm to combat this but Frances Haugen has copied lots of data showing that the algorithm has not combated this and has only increased its negative feed. She has left Facebook due to this and is taking them to court to instate a law against this.

I think she has the full right to do this as she is watching this taking place on a platform that she works for and works on and she does not support this as it affects people. Statistics show that people get more suicidle and also people with eating disorders face problems with their content.

Both Edward Snowdens and Frances Haugen actions are similar but their reasons are different. Edward Snowden did not agree with the government being able to watch and hear what you are doing all the time and Frances Haugen does not agree with the harmful misleading information being shown to their customers.

After reviewing Both Edward Snowden and Frances Haugen have decided to step against their jobs and choose to do the right thing which is to expose their companies that they work for.
