Sylvia Plath Movie review

At the start of watching Sylvia Plath I thought it wouldn't be an interesting as I am usually not a fan of the movie genre Drama. Throughout the movie all the elements such as the sound and camera angles made the movie very interesting. It changed my perspective on Drama movies. The movie is about Sylvia Plath an American poet who dreams of becoming a famous poet like the guy she falls in love will called Ted Hughes who is a English poet who writes a famous poem. They both go to Cambridge in England they and meet there. Sylvia and Ted move in together and from the drama begins as Sylvia's depression becomes worse as her husband Ted begins to meet with new women behind Sylvia's back. They have two children and throughout the movie she becomes more and more obsessed with death.

There was music playing almost through the whole movie but you noticed it specifically when either Sylvia was sad or having depressed thoughts but also drama happening in general. The music wasent positive but more grim and really helped develop and express the ideas happening in the movie. I think that they do a good job to really express Sylvia's life in the movie. The movie also has a great cast to do this roll I think will Daniel Craig and Gwyneth Paltrow who I found to act very good in this movie.

The movie is pretty long and there isn't actually much action happening but the audio specifically the music really gets the viewer focused as it is kind of strange making the viewer more engaged and wanting to understand the scene.

Personally I find the movie good but for people who have not tried drama movies yet and could give this movie a try to maybe interest them into drama genre.
