Law of Five Elements, organs

Chinese medicine took the Law of Five Elements and recognized which organs are connected to each of the elements.

As I mentioned before, in the human body there are 12 organs that make, move and store energy. They are organized in 6 pairs of Yin and Yang organs and each pair is associated with one Element. Fire which is the Element of the Heart (the supreme controller) has an extra pair of organs associated with it.

Wood = Liver & Gallbladder
Fire = Heart & Small Intestine
Fire = Pericardium & Triple Heater
Earn = Stolen & Stomach
Metal = Lung & Large Intestine and
Water = Kidney & Bladder

We can use these connections to "feed" the energy from the strong organs to the weak(er) ones because we know how the energy flows - from "mother to child".

But a more important relationship in healing is the "controlling relationship" and is used all the time to tell where the weakness may have originated from and what may be the underlying problem.

As I mentioned before, each element has one element that it controls and so each element is also controlled by one other element. For Metal: it controls Wood and it is also controlled by Fire. These two relationships create a triangle icalled a pattern of disharmony, a principal widely used in acupuncture diagnostic and healing.
