No 4 - lack of movement

The fourth Rider of Apocalypse is our sedatery lifestyle. Our bodies were designed to move, you can tell so just by looking at the long legs we were given.

Statistics tell us that runners live longer that people who don't run and this is something that should not be the case considering the increased wear and tare their bodies have to deal with.

What we see with runners and other people who do regular aerobic exercise is that their cardiovascular system is pushed to remain fit but almost as importantly - they force larger amounts of oxygen into their bodies.

Western science doesn't even have a metric of how much oxygen does a body need in one day to complete all of it's tasks. But we were designed with lungs that have a multi liter capacity so clearly we need more oxygen than what our modern lifestyle provides. Most of us sit, most of the time.

This is why, unlike people in the past who had chores to complete, hunt or gather food, work the land - we modern humans need to "exercise". Our bodies need to "pump" oxygen and force the blood to deliver it to all ends of the kingdom.
