Uber agrees to pay drivers

Uber has agreed to pay its 70,000 drivers in the UK, minimum wage, holiday pay and pension contributions. Following the recent Supreme Court ruling, the drivers are reclassified as workers and this is what they are entitled to based on their new classification. They will not receive full employee benefits.
Why this is important
This move will very likely increase Uber's operating costs in the UK. Other jurisdictions will be looking keenly at this move and there will likely be battles elsewhere...
