Vehicle InfraComm

Considering how disturbing noise pollution because of horns in vehicles are, it’s definitely time for some other means of communication.

Instead of making loud, disturbing horns, we may install infrared receivers and transmitters connected to a microcomputer in each vehicle.

If we do this, we would be able to send information as morse codes to the desired vehicle as infrared signals. The microcomputer in the receiver’s vehicle will translate it into whatever language and display it on a small screen near the speedometer.

If it’s hard typing messages, we can also just do simple signals as horns. For example— “ - — - “ means “ move “, and the computer can make this sound inside the vehicle, using a small and cheap buzzer, leading to easy comm.

We could also use radio communication, which has been a mainstay in the aviation since it’s industry took off. It could be a network of vehicles using radio frequencies.

It’s high time we used something like this.
