Tara & Animals

Tara was not the type of girl who liked animals. Even though her house was known to be a palace of cats, she was not much of a cat lover. However, Tara loved kittens but that love disappeared when they grew older.
Believe it or not, her family had 64 cats. And she fell only for the last one. The 64th darling, was nicknamed "Cup Cake" by Tara and that became her real name.
Sissy became her name with a cute origin tale. "Well, Tara nicknamed her Cup Cake once. Months later, we thought a lot about her name. And finally, came to this idea that which we may shorten Cup Cake as CC, which would sound and can be written as Sissy". People were amused at this. Whatever, Tara took proud in saying that little history of how her darling's name got derived.
Once, Tara invited 4 of her friends for lunch. And then for a photo, she got them Sissy and her three siblings.
That was a very lovely photo because it was 4 for 4. But then there was Violet, with whom she realised how cozy the kittens were, than with the other girls. Violet was the favourite for Tara.
So a secret wish crawled inside Tara, that remained unsaid. When Tara and her family shifts to a new place, she wanted to give Sissy darling to Violet. Then that happened, her Papa accidently stepped on Sissy. It was hence told, that she would be taken along to Delhi. No, you are wrong! Tara wasn't that sad. She had an odd habit of giving her favourites to her favourite people. And that is silly in certain scenarios.
So, Sissy was brought to Delhi. And one day she disappeared, only to make Tara devastated.
Kaka nagar is a wonderland of animals. Its a wonder how it became a human society, because humans are treated outsiders here. This is where Tara and her family lived in Delhi. Every nagar of Delhi was Monkey-free colonies. But Kaka nagar had more than that. It had many birds, from parrots to hornbills.
Tara loved bushy animals. But that doesn't count in worms. She loved rabbits and squirrels. To own a rabbit, was considered a crime. And that made everybody against it.
Squirrels, of course.. they are 24 hrs busy. So Tara knew owning one meant impossible. But soon, that impossible went to "it can be possible" when she came across an NYT video. Which showed a woman having a squirrel as pet. Tara wasn't that crazy also to run her whole life, behind one.
She enjoyed them from a distance. Their activities were secretly captured. And Delhi's squirrels are more adorable, it seems.
Once, Papa and Tara were on a walk in Lodhi Garden. Tara giggled and said, "Papa, do you know what just happened? A squirrel was making an attempt to kill a bird for no reason!" And she said to herself, "how can somebody be this mischievous?"
Then, on an another day, she found two squirrels sitting on the tree. Exhausted like never before. That was way too amusing, as they were so still?!
And she learnt that squirrels wiggle their entire body, when they make a sound!
