Why am I doing this with a psuedonym?

There are a couple of reasons.

One of my interests is privacy. I care about privacy. I spend time reading about it and trying to improve my privacy. The idea of giving out personal details that are tied back to my real name makes me uncomfortable. This is part of why I've put off blogging.

I'm not perfect with what I do, but I take steps to be more private. I use masked emails, I give false names when I can, I use fake birthdays, I use Privacy.com for masked cards; to name a few. I am not doing anything illegal and I do these things online, not in official legal documents or anything like that. I could do more and I'm certainly not perfect. The reason I do this is mostly due to the massive amounts of data that leak online and are used by data brokers.

I've also always felt self-conscious about my writing. In school, I hated having classmates review my writing. I even hated turning things in to the teacher for grades. Maybe one day that won't cause me discomfort, but it does, so I'm avoiding it :)

I'm sure after I have more posts up here, someone who is motivated or some AI, could tie my real identity to this. That's not really a huge concern at the moment. I don't intend to say anything illegal or that controversial.

Maybe if I stick with the practice, at some point, my feelings and thoughts will change. I thought this would help instill the routine in me. I guess we'll see.
