Hello world.
I am starting this blog to collect a random assortment of my thoughts, ideas and experiments. Previously I have used telegra.ph to write short excerpts that I shared with friends, this blog is a means to bring it all together in one place.
The motivation behind this blog and the published method is to:
- Stay minimal.
- Create an independent, bloat-free corner of the world wide web.
- Learn how to best do all this.
The blog is written in markdown. I have putting this blog out in so many forms and variations, always experimenting with what works the best for me. I have always sought for a minimal setup, with a quick easy way to write and to post.
So far here are the various blogging frameworks I have tried so far,
- bashblog (hosted on github)
- jekyll (hosted on github)
- Switching this blog to jekyll from bashblog. It is much cleaner and provides a variety of potential features for the future.
- hexo, Joplin (hosted on github)
- Switched this blog to using hexo from jekyll. Trying out various Static Site Generators to see which suits my workflow the most. This switch however enables me to publish directly from joplin which is a big plus.
- listed, Standard Notes
- Switched to using Standard Notes and Listed because with it, I can write and post directly from my notes to my blog using my phone.
Here we go.
