Z2H Video 7, jumping ahead [Post #19, Day 39]

I have jumped ahead a bit and started watching Video 7 Let's build GPT: from scratch, in code, spelled out. I was feeling a bit bogged down sludging my way back through the earlier videos and wanted something new and refreshing. I actually watched this while at Yvonne's house but I understand so much more of the detail now that I have worked through the makemore videos. It's a lot of fun working through this one now! I think it was a good idea to bring some freshness in again.

I watched a Google video yesterday about an example coding question in an interview. It was a little intimidating as I wasn't following the technical details fully and it seems scary to have to code with no tools at all (no Claude, and not even an IDE), just pure knowledge and memory. I think with a little practice and training I could get myself at a good enough level though. I will likely watch the whole video playlist from Google talking about their interview process and how to prepare, even if I don't apply to Google it will probably be helpful for any AI/machine learning software engineering interview.
