Our God wears running shoes

About the prodigal son story (from Helping Teens with Stress, Anxiety and Depression by Roy Petifils):

But the scripture implies that the father was waiting and looking for him, perhaps even anticipating his arrival. He was watching and, when he saw his son, ran to him.

Our God is a God who wears running shoes. Long before, during, and long after we’re fatigued, disheartened, discouraged, sad, hurt, and burnt out, our God reminds us that “our kids” were his first!
