The USA promises to protect and defend all of the free nations in the world as we have done for the past 70 years for South Korea, and to continue to work with our allies to ensure their security and maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific region. We hope that the Free World will expand and more nations will join us in creating a free and open society for their citizens to enjoy as our two nations have done. The USA is fortunate to have South Korea, a great nation, with a vibrant culture, an open society, a pro-democratic and pro-humanitarian government, as our strategic partner, ally, and friend.
