Kissinger is Wrong Once Again

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Henry Kissinger is extremely wrong about Ukraine's offer to join NATO being the cause of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, just as he was extremely wrong on Vietnam. The fact that any US diplomat, retired or not, would use Russia's talking points is disgusting.

If Ukraine had been in NATO, this war never would have happened. Russia would not have dared to attack Ukraine if they were NATO territory. Russia will not go to war with the USA or NATO. They know they will lose. Bringing Ukraine into NATO, would have prevented this war. Now that it is too late to prevent this one, as soon as the conflict ends, we will bring Ukraine into NATO to make sure Russia never attacks them again.

Russia invaded Ukraine to steal Ukraine's natural gas reserves, all of which are located in the Russian occupied territories of Ukraine. As soon as Ukraine began the exploration for natural gas reserves, and started investing in the development of those reserves to create a prosperous energy industry, Russia invaded and annexed Crimea and the eastern territories of Ukraine, where all of the natural gas reserves are located.

Recovering those territories is vital for Ukraine and the rest of Europe. Europe's entire economy is suffering from high energy prices. Increasing the supply of natural gas will lower energy prices. To increase the supply, you must invest in and develop any known natural gas reserves within Europe. Norway's reserves supply a huge portion of Europe's demand, but they are not enough, Europe needs more gas reserves. The largest known gas reserves anywhere on the European continent, outside of Norway, are in Ukraine.

Russia stole those natural gas reserves from Ukraine, because Putin wanted to control Europe's gas supply. Putin did not want Europe to have alternative options from Ukraine. He did not want Ukrainian gas to become a competitor to Russian gas. He was attempting to eliminate his potential competitor. He wanted to have almost complete control over the gas prices and the gas supply in Europe. And I have no doubt that Putin's friend, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schrรถder, who is sitting on the board for Russian state-owned energy companies, helped him devise this extremely corrupt and cruel scheme.

If you can't wrap your mind around what is happening here, you don't belong in politics.

What Europe needs to focus on is securing all of the known gas reserves on the European continent, so they can become energy secure. Since Ukraine has the largest known gas reserves on the continent that have not yet been exploited, that is the best option for Europe to regain their energy independence. Bringing Ukraine into NATO will ensure the security of those reserves. Bringing Ukraine into the EU will ensure Ukraine follows EU rules, and roots out corruption. These reserves will also ensure that Ukraine's economy can recover. Ukraine will grow to become a prosperous nation, and provide a huge benefit to the European Union and NATO.
