World Expo 2030

🇮🇹🇰🇷 We support Italy or Korea - we love them both. The only two candidates for the World Expo 2030 that I would actually visit are Rome, Italy and Busan, Korea.

I will never set foot in Saudi Arabia. A land of deserts, oil fountains and assassins is never going to make it's way onto my travel itinerary. How many Western women would actually attend a World Expo in Saudi Arabia? None - we only visit countries that respect human rights. Only people required to fulfill diplomatic duties would go if the event is held in Saudi Arabia.

But Rome is exciting. Everyone will be competing to work on the event if it is held in Rome, and that will create a much better pool of candidates and exhibitions. We attend a lot of international events in Italy though, because Italy has created some of the most prestigious events in art and design such as the Venice Biennale - the art olympics - and Milan Design Week. The World Expo would no doubt be just as spectacular or even more so because it is not held annually or biannually in Italy.

But Korea is more exotic. Korea is also fun and safe. And we rarely have the opportunity to travel and work in Korea. The World Expo would be an excellent opportunity to do so.

Italy or Korea - whichever one succeeds - we are excited to participate.
