Sweden's NATO Membership

🇸🇪 Sweden's NATO membership is not a free-for-all bargaining chip for all of Turkey's wants. First, absolutely do not sell US fighter jets to Turkey until they ratify Sweden's membership. Make it clear to Erdogan that the USA will not sell the fighter jets until Sweden's membership is ratified. Don't pretend like they are not related issues - these issues are related now. Also call Erdogan up and tell him that we are removing the US nuclear arsenal from Turkey's territory if he does not ratify Sweden's membership by a specific date. If it's not done by that date, follow through. Instead of giving Turkey things to do a simple task, we will take things away from them for not completing the task. After talking to Erdogan, call up Orban and tell him that the USA expects all NATO members to be free world countries, not Ottoman Empire satellites, and that Hungary should be able to make decisions on their own without needing to clear it with Turkey first. Let him know that we expect Hungary to ratify Sweden's NATO membership immediately before August 1. If Orban needs help making decisions in the future, he can call the president of the USA. The USA will help all of our allies.

We will sue the Biden Administration if they sell fighter jets to Turkey. Americans expect Turkey to show us they intend to improve their human rights record by first ratifying Sweden's NATO membership, and then expelling all diplomats involved in the assassination of the American journalist.
