Israel-Palestinian Conflict

🇮🇱🇵🇸 My perspective on this conflict has changed completely. A two-state proposal was offered to the Arab and Jewish communities living in the Levant in the 1940s. The Arabs rejected the proposal, started the Arab-Israeli War over it, and attacked the Jewish people. The Arabs lost that war. The Jews won. And the Jews created the State of Israel, despite all of the Arabs' efforts to prevent it.
Although Arabs had the opportunity to do so, they did not create the State of Palestine. The area known as Gaza was occupied by Egypt after that war, and Jordan occupied the West Bank.
Then there was another war in 1967. Egypt attempted to create a blockade on Israel. Egypt tried to cut off Israel's ability to import and export goods. Israel attacked Egypt because of it, and then Israel fought Egypt, and Egypt's allies, Jordan and Syria, all at the same time. The Arabs lost again. The Jews won again. It took them only six days to do so. Israel then acquired Gaza from Egypt, the West Bank from Jordan, and Golan Heights from Syria. These territories were acquired by Israel in wars that they did not start. And that's the most important point in this conflict. Israel did not pursue an imperialist policy, like Russia is doing now in Ukraine. Israel was simply defending their nation, their people, and their interests. Israel wanted to maintain the status quo.
So I don't believe any of the Israeli settlements in these territories are illegal. I see no difference between settlers and migrants. Israeli migrants have the right to settle on territory that Israel has acquired. Israeli migrants are engaged in internal migration, which is legal. Illegal migrants are engaged in transnational migration, which is illegal without permission.
I think it was very generous of Israel to offer these territories to the future State of Palestine, and it is disappointing that the Palestinians continue to reject every proposal Israel has provided. I think the Biden Administration should give the Palestinians one last proposal for a two-state solution to finally solve the conflict. If Palestinians reject the solution, they have no one to blame but themselves for being stateless. They have rejected every peace settlement that is offered to them.
I also recommend that the Arabs stop attacking Israel before they lose even more territory.
I was a Palestinian sympathizer before the recent terrorist attack. That event was eye-opening for me. My attitude toward the Palestinians has changed significantly. I still wish the best for the Palestinians. I still believe the two-state solution is the best solution. I hope the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is solved quickly. But I realize Palestinians are not victims of genocide, and their ancestral land was not stolen from them either. These lands have belonged to both Jewish and Arab communities for centuries with Jewish communities dating the farthest back to the ancient period.
I reject a world where terrorists are free to commit heinous, violent crimes like the ones that were committed in Israel. It's obscene. It's uncivilized. There is no acceptable excuse for committing acts of terrorism. We want our leaders to cooperate with Israel and help them combat terrorism in the region and around the world. We expect our world leaders to keep our homelands safe and secure and terrorist free.
