Cyprus-Turkey Relations

🇨🇾🇹🇷 Cyprus is one state and it will remain one state. Tatar must stop fantasizing about one day ruling his own country. That dream will never come true. He must accept that there will never be a two-state solution in Cyprus. The Turkish Cypriots must learn to live peacefully with the Greek Cypriots, who are the majority. If you allow a European country, where a significant Muslim minority has settled, to be divided into two states, you will set a precedent, and you will have the 5 million Muslims in France or Germany or other European countries, claiming they also need a two-state solution. We will not set that precedent. We are not dividing European states into two states simply to appease a large Muslim minority that has settled there. The minority will learn to live peacefully with the majority or they will be required to leave. There was a unique situation, in the former Yugoslavia, where this scenario was allowed (Kosovo) as a viable solution to the internal conflict, but it will not be repeated. This will not be allowed anywhere else in Europe. Cyprus is a member of the European Union. Cyprus abides by EU laws. There is no religious persecution of Muslims or violation of their human rights by the Greek Cypriots in Cyprus. There is no reason why the Greek Cypriots and the Turkish Cypriots can not live peacefully together. Turkey must withdraw their troops from Cyprus. They have no legal right to be there. We will force Turkey out of Cyprus if they do not leave peacefully. It should have been done a long time ago.
