Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

🇮🇱🇵🇸 I think the Israeli defense minister's post-war proposal is more in line with the thinking of the international community, therefore that will likely be the post-war plan for Gaza. Israel's far-right politicians will have to face the fact that the international community will take charge of Gaza if necessary and will not allow Israel to resettle or re-occupy the Gaza Strip. Their argument that the defense minister's proposal is a "re-run of the day before October 7" is incorrect.
There will be a multinational security force in Gaza after the war to maintain peace and security and prevent future attacks against the State of Israel. The IDF could potentially be a part of that multinational security force if that makes Israel feel more secure, but Israel can not be the only nation that provides the post-war security force. That requirement is not just for the protection of Palestinians, but also to protect the IDF and Israel from anti-Israel propaganda. We would like Arab nations to participate so that Palestinians feel safe and secure as well. We would like the Palestinians to know that the security force is there to protect them and to prevent this situation from occurring again. I believe Palestinians will only feel secure if Arab nations are a part of that security force. We should not pre-determine how long that force will remain in Gaza. The necessity of the security force's presence in Gaza should be reevaluated periodically. We imagine it will likely be several years before they will be able to withdraw from Gaza, and the nations that participate in providing that security force should be prepared for that.
There will be no further attacks against the State of Israel once the war is over. The war will not end until the attacks stop. Hamas will not be in power in Gaza or anywhere else after the war. They will not be able to launch rockets, or missiles, or terrorist attacks. Any attacks against the State of Israel by Palestinians, any Palestinians, will be considered a declaration of war against Israel, and Israel will respond in kind. Israel will clearly win the war, so it would be extremely foolish to start another war with Israel by attacking them again. I think Palestinians mistakenly believed that the international community would not allow Israel to retaliate against an attack. I think they believed that they could literally get away with murder. By now they must understand that they can not. We will respect Israel's right to self-defense. So, I do not believe Palestinians will commit future attacks against Israel. If they do, they will suffer the consequences. I think they should understand by now what those consequences will be. Terrorism is intolerable and it will not go unpunished.
The only path to a two-state solution is through peace and security. We need to manifest that peace and security between the Israelis and Palestinians in order to reach the goal of a two-state solution. After victory in Word War II, the USA helped our enemies recover, and they became our strongest allies. I believe that is how you manifest peace and security, by turning your enemies into your allies, by first demonstrating your strength and then your kindness.
