🇹🇼 Congratulations to the new President of Taiwan, William Lai.
Most Americans do support Taiwan's independence. Taiwan is one of the most free countries in Asia, along with Japan and South Korea, and we want to help them remain a free country.
We won't elect a US president who has a different opinion on that issue. That will be one of the main issues in the US presidential elections, and it will likely determine who will win.
Taiwan has already achieved what Ukraine is so desperately fighting for. They have achieved what most people around the world are still dreaming of - liberty and prosperity. So we will do everything in our power to help them keep their liberty and remain prosperous. xo
