Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

🇮🇱🇵🇸 US support for Israel is unwavering. However, the Israeli Prime Minister must cooperate with the Biden Administration. If PM Netanyahu is not cooperating with President Biden, Biden will need to force Netanyahu's hand and be more assertive. It's in the USA's and Israel's best interest to do so if necessary.

Israel will never strike a territory where US troops are stationed. The right-wing Israeli government would never make such a foolhardy move. So one way to ensure that Israel does not strike an area within Gaza that we do not want them to strike is to put US troops there. This is the logic behind the multinational security force that we have been requesting for the past few months. Although I did not want to express it in this way, I guess it is required.

If there was a multinational security force in Gaza, they could create a safe zone for the Palestinians and ensure that the safe zone remains safe and secure. That means Hamas will not be able to hide or operate within the safe zone, and Israel will not have any reason to enter the safe zone to carry out their mission. However, if you declare an area of Gaza to be a safe zone without putting any troops there to keep Hamas out of the safe zone, then you are simply creating a safe zone for Hamas, not innocent Palestinians, and this will only prolong the war.

Israel could have created this safe zone for Palestinians themselves though, but they did not. I think a good ally would have the courage to do this for Israel, knowing that it is difficult for any nation to find sympathy for a group who has just committed a heinous terrorist attack against their country and people, and that is why the USA should do this for Israel.

That is what we mean by taking control of the situation in Gaza. We should put ourselves in the position where we can ensure with our physical presence the Palestinians are safe and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe. The USA does not require Israel's permission to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza either, so there is no valid reason for us to not deliver it.

Any strategy that would allow Hamas to stay in power in Gaza ,however, would be an absolute failure for both the Palestinians and Israelis. It is possible to accomplish both goals of defeating Hamas, and safeguarding Palestinians. We can coordinate with Gallant, Israel's Minister of Defense, to ensure that both goals are achieved. This will create the right conditions for a two-state solution.

"As soon as this war is over, there will no longer be a Hamas military force in Gaza," Gallant asserted. "Neither Israel nor Hamas will have control over Gaza." Someone will need to be in control of Gaza to prevent chaos. Our multinational security force will need to be in Gaza to take control and ensure the security and safety of the Palestinians until the war is over and the new transitional government is in place.

Biden seems to have no desire to put any real effort into securing Palestinians. It was the same with Ukraine. He had no desire to put in any effort to secure the Ukrainians and look how that is turning out now. If we had put troops in Ukraine, there would not be a war in Ukraine right now. Biden thinks he can lead the world from the comforts of the USA. I'm happy he is interested in leading the world, that is better than the opposition right now, but I am not happy that he refuses to put more effort into it when it is clearly needed.

It costs money to put troops on the ground, this is true, and this was their argument against it at the time in Ukraine, but it also costs money to fight a war. And now we are seeing the real costs of inaction. The costs of inaction are much greater than the costs of prevention. It's not just monetary costs, but the costs of innocent lives. Personally, I would have rather spent the money on stationing troops in Ukraine to prevent the war and protect Ukrainians. That is more humane and more gallant. We could also spend a little a bit of money right now to put troops in Gaza to protect Palestinians from Hamas, otherwise we will likely be required to spend it another way that is much less gallant and humane.

P.S. Gallant - That's a great name by the way. I can't think of a better name for a Minister of Defense.
