TikTok

🇨🇳 Europe has no reason to ban TikTok, because after TikTok has new owners due to the forced sale imposed by the USA, there is no more reason for security concerns. The USA is taking care of that business for everyone.
Apparently the authors of this article don't even comprehend what the national security issues around TikTok are. Spending too much time on the app is unproductive and bad for kids, but that is not why TikTok is being forced to sell their app. The biggest issue is the fact that social media apps have become tools for manipulating and shaping public opinion, and public opinion is essential for political control in a democracy. Allowing some tech bros in San Francisco to have that much control over American public opinion is a very bad idea, and we have proposed solutions for that, but allowing the Chinese Communist Party, an adversary of the USA, to have that much control over American public opinion is pure stupidity and a major national security threat. We are taking care of that problem by forcing the sale of TikTok, and that will solve the problem not only in the USA but also in Europe, Canada, Japan.. etc. So none of our allies need to do anything.
If you are still clueless about how a social media app is a national security threat, perhaps this article about Russia's interference in Moldova will enlighten you https://www.politico.eu/article/moldova-fights-free-from-russia-ai-power-disinformation-machine-maia-sandu/.
If not, then I guess you are just permanently clueless. xo
