The DNC: Not Feeling It

🇺🇸 I keep reading about all of the enthusiasm for Kamala Harris in the media, but I don't actually know of a single person that is enthusiastic about her nomination as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate. I am friends with a lot of artists and musicians, the most liberal group of people in the USA, but no one I know is excited about this. No one actually knows what Kamala Harris stands for. No one knows what her agenda is, because she didn't tell us via the normal format - a primary election debate. She was the most irrelevant VP of my lifetime. I say that because I don't know of anything she did during her four years as the Vice President. Yet, all of a sudden she is our new presidential candidate. Many of us are still shocked at how she cheated her way into the nomination with the help of a handful of Democrats - the Obamas and Pelosi - and stabbed her former running mate in the back to get it. We are stunned by the audacity of this small group of Democrats to override the primary election results and hand-pick a new presidential candidate themselves as if it is solely their decision. We are even more shocked and stunned that the Democratic Party believes that we are going to throw all of our support behind this move and go out and vote for this person that we no longer trust and never elected in the first place. I don't know anyone that intends to vote for Harris. I think the media is just making up the enthusiasm, hoping to conjure enthusiasm for Harris simply by writing about it, but it's merely wishful thinking. xo
