US-German-Ukraine Relations

🇺🇸🇩🇪🇺🇦 "The West should spend less time fretting about Russian President Vladimir Putin's red lines and set its own, says veteran German diplomat Wolfgang Ischinger." Exactly.
I fear that the German SPD party leader and current German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, does not really want Ukraine to win this war. Perhaps because his party colleague and former German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroder, was sitting on the board of directors at more than one Russian gas company and intends to do so again. If Ukraine were to win the war, Russia would have to give back Ukraine's territory, including the natural gas reserves Russia stole from Ukraine, and that would make the Russian gas companies less lucrative for the members of the German SPD party that are sitting on it's board. They have somehow managed to convince the US president to follow their judgement, rather than the will of the American people and all of our other allies. The president of the USA continues to tie Ukraine's hands behind their back, only giving Ukraine enough leeway, via weapons and funding, to defend themselves, rather than allowing them to actually defeat Russia and win this war. It's infuriating. Many Americans are looking forward to new leadership in both Germany and the USA. Ukrainians should be looking forward to it too. xo
