US-EU-Russia Relations

🇺🇸🇪🇺🏴 I find the relationship between the EU and Russia profoundly baffling. I just don't understand why European nations would allow Russia to steal one of the largest known natural gas reserves in Europe from Ukraine, simply so Russia can turn around and sell the gas back to Europe for trillions of dollars. It's the most corrupt and the most absurd energy strategy I have ever heard of. Corruption is the only reason any European leader would ever agree to such an energy strategy. It was the Germans that helped Russia create this situation in Europe, so our faith in German leadership is very low, and we do not like the Biden Administration's heavy reliance on German leadership for European affairs. The US approach should be more pan European. However, Americans still respect the Germans. We still consider Germany to be a strong ally of the USA, and we are still committed to their security, so we don't really like Trump's antagonistic rhetoric either. Liberals will ensure the US approach is more balanced moving forward. xo
