US-Canada Relations

🇺🇸🇨🇦 The USA loves Canada. I think President Trump is simply trying to say that many Americans feel like Canada is a part of the USA. We feel very close to the Canadians. We have similar histories and similar cultures. I think many Americans wish to create a single market with Canada, and we hope Canadians wish for the same. Liberals think it would be cool to expand our relationship even further than that into an economic union. Canada is our largest trading partner in the entire world, and a liberal democracy with very similar values as the USA, so Canada would be the ideal nation to start a new free trade, free movement zone with the USA. But in order to do so, we will have to become more aligned on immigration and regulations, and the USA would want Canada to fulfill their NATO defense spending requirements. Americans also see Canada as a very important partner in securing our critical mineral supply chains and in defense of the Arctic, especially Alaska.
