US Hostage Deterrance Act

🇺🇸 Liberals propose new legislation that requires foreign nations, terrorist groups, and other entities that violate Americans' fundamental human rights to pay reparations to the victims and their families, specifically Americans that are held as political prisoners or taken as hostages.

We wish for this law to be enforced for the October 7 hostages, requiring Iran, Hamas, and the Palestinian Authority to pay reparations to all US hostages and their families. We propose at least $1M per day of captivity be awarded to the victims, and at least $1B for those hostages and victims that were killed to be awarded to their families. Reparations should act as a deterrence to prevent against future terrorist activities. We will confiscate any assets by these entities to ensure the reparations are paid in full.

We recommend that Israel enact similar legislation for the Israeli victims.
