Brick Arch バチレンガ

Getting involved with a brick arch is fascinating me. Especially since it's all wrapped up with the desire to work with local wheat flours and recipes from Daniel Leader's Bread Alone book (recommended in Michael Pollan's Omnivore's Dilemma) and Jim Lahey's on-line "No Knead Bread" 1 recipe.
A Japans company's (?) site AIKB-Arch has .pdf with nice illustrations of the Y-type brick shapes and using them to make domes of different sizes:

Another site has useful-seeming daigrams and charts: 2

Yet another site has charts with the number of bricks of different types needed for domes of difrerent sizes..

I'll have to stop by a nearby brick factory and talk with the nice office ladies about all this.. One gave me the word "Bachi Renga" for the dome bricks, and another one gave me the word for "OtsuKareSamaDesu" in Indonesian but I forgot it...
