First and foremost, what this article is not: It isn't just another lazy list of stupid-ass "hustle" ideas you can find in a million other places. The aim here isn't "side hustles" or "gigs" or "content generators" or anything like that.

This is an attempt to provide a list of real, viable ideas that can generate revenue for you. You won't find any guarantees that any item on this list will be easy or quick, and many won't suit your tastes or abilities at all. Getting rich quick is a lie. Some ideas might work more quickly than others; you know what doesn't work, though? Rushing into something half-assed just to grab a buck.

No matter how much time you devote to any of these (or any other idea you have), make sure it's SOLID. Whatever you do, it absolutely must fulfill the following minimum requirements:

1. Fulfill a need or solve a problem. An actual problem, not one you invent so you can then solve it. Too many biz ideas are bad simply because they're not solving anything. They're just noise.
2. Help, don't hurt. In other words, don't contribute to waste, create toxic substances, give misinformation, lie, or cheat.
3. Serve your customers. I'm talking simple, basic things like returning messages, showing up on time, and following through.
4. Do something you don't hate. You don't need a dream job, you don't have to save the world, but you do need your sanity and your happiness. All successful businesses require at least some slog and paperwork and bullshit. Just make sure that's not all you do.

That's basically it. If you fail to follow those, your idea will not work. Full stop. It's shocking how many people miss one of these. Cut corners and cheat, and it might get you paid initially, but it won't last.

Would you be your own customer? If you hesitate answering that, you're doing it wrong.
