Here we go again,
I'm adding to my chronicle.
I see that other notes have not gone to the listed.to "blog" site. So, do i have to tag this note for it to show?
That doesn't seem to have worked.

Ah! Now i got it. Okay. Now i have the technique. Whew.

Well, i think that i will, finally, give up on StandardNotes to listed.to . In the free account:
Cons:
- i only get to put in plain text
- not even markup, so no ToDos
- no html so no lists, bulleted or numbered or anything. This list is just me putting hyphens in the front of the lines
- I had to put a hyphen here because nothing is automatic
- The files are backed up, and the listed.to site is okay, but i can't just go and look at these plain text files.
- As much as i love tagging, there is no method of organizing files in folders or any other hierarchy
Pros
- Wait... those hyphens turned into list buttons italics text ? Yes bold text ? Yes [] checkbox ? No So there's limited markup, but not wysiwig
- encryption - very important for me
- Very nice tagging each note - i will miss this!
- Easy posting to http://listed.to/@eden
I've tried it, but i'm going back to Zim, https://zim-wiki.org/ which saves all my notes as plain text. Backups and posting are just sync-ing. I can use Markup and get nice formatting. That also gets me the ToDos. Export to html. I just encrypt my files myself. I can have multiple "books" and folders.
I just can't see changing from Zim, which has been good for years and many projects, completely opensource, and no cost.
