Question: Have you experienced an important shift in perspective on anything?

After having been told how valuable a good education is for many years it makes you tired of having to reach this concept of being well educated. I understand education is helpful for building a career in this age; however, the pressure of being obligated to therefore study difficult content is exhausting. (1) Up until two years ago, if I was asked what I wanted to be in the future, I would reply with "an engineer and entrepreneur who creates a successful business". I guess this idea originally derived from all the family members I was surrounded by who either studied physics, chemistry, or mathematics in their career. The sciences and math interest me, although it would be too draining for me to enjoy it for a long period of time. (1b) However, I had the perception that a job in the arts wouldn't always lead to a stable job in the future. A social well considered career; an unstable income; the first options seemed to be the best option. (1c) Now here I am today applying for an arts academy; my perspective is shifting. (1)
