Going back to reportage

As a young journalist, I always dreamed of being an investigative reporter. I found them bad ass sharp and admired their ability to cut through the clutter. It wasn’t my gig, though. I was always best at reportage and interviews, and especially bringing the reader along to experience the story through my eyes. That and interviews with a deep human connection in long format articles. That’s my natural genre. We are who are. We do what we do. The trick is to accept it. ...
