Restoring the Past: The First Day with the K750

October 11, 2024 (Friday)

Today, after more than 20 years, the motorcycle was finally pulled out of a shed and given a thorough pressure wash. It looked a lot worse than I had anticipated—faded paint, rat droppings, foul-smelling grime, rust, and more. The good news is that I also found a new (possibly?) sidecar, an engine, and some spare parts.

Another piece of good news is that the tires held air, and I could easily roll the bike back and forth. The gears seemed to function normally, and the engine turned over without issues.

To-Do:

🛠️ Inventory the spare parts!
🛠️ I still need to determine the exact model year of this K750.

By the end of the day, the bike was safely parked in our garage.

⏱️ Total work time: about 3 hours.
