WrestleMania heads back to Tampa Bay

WWE announced last night that WrestleMania 37 will move from Los Angeles to Tampa Bay in Florida this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. WrestleMania 36 last year was originally set to take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay but WWE was forced to move the event to the WWE Performance Center due to restrictions around Covid-19.  WrestleMania 37 has also been moved from the original date of March 28th, 2021 to April 10th and 11th 2020 and will be a 2 night event. This year, WWE are hoping to to make a comeback by making another pirate themed WrestleMania, one we should've seen last year with lots of pyro and an actual pirate set. According to various sources, WWE are also planning to allow a limited number of fans into the stadium, which would make it the first WWE event to have a live crowd in over a year.

Although WWE is set to have a limited number of people in the crowd at WrestleMania this year, plans could change due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. With the new variants that spread quicker and some that avoid the effects of vaccines (early research suggests), WWE could be forced to scrap that idea and have an empty arena or even bring in the LED screens from the ThunderDome.
